
Becky Bomar, LPC
Becky Bomar is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and received her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling in 2021 from Southeast Missouri State University.
Becky provides her clients with a safe, nonjudgmental place to share their truth so they can start to make sense of their world, accept the part they play in their world, and heal from their past experiences. By helping the client increase their personal awareness the client is able to start challenging and removing the obstacles that have been blocking their path towards healing,
Becky incorporates a Gestalt therapeutical approach with cognitive behavioral techniques, and is trained in EMDR therapy. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy is a structured psychotherapeutic approach to psychotherapy based on the science of how the brain stores and processes information related to upsetting life experiences including criticism, rejection, humiliation, relationships, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse and major traumatic events. Becky utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) when working with couples to help them strengthen their relationship by overcoming negative patterns, improving their communication, and promoting their emotional awareness.
Becky’s educational and professional background has afforded her the experience of working with a vast array of clientele and has allowed her to recognize the importance of flexibility and adaptability as a therapist.
During Becky’s downtime, she spends time with her family and friends. She is an avid reader, loves shopping and watching TV and movies.
Becky is in-network with any insurance company at this time. She can provide a superbill to you for out of network reimbursement upon request.
