What is EMDR therapy?
EMDR is an integrative counseling approach to treating issues that stem from trauma. EMDR is scientifically researched and proven to help with issues that stem from unresolved trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates key elements from many different approaches.
What problems can EMDR treat?
- Though EMDR was originally developed to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, it has also shown to be effective in treating a variety of issues, including:
- Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Grief, Dissociative Disorders and disturbing memories
- Phobias, Addictions, Physical or Sexual Abuse, Phobias (fear of flying or driving), Performance Anxiety and Body Dysmorphia
