Welcome to Great Oak Counseling

The Great Oak is a symbol of courage and power, and among the most powerful and enduring of all trees.  The Great Oak gains strength from deep roots that grow and develop through patience and persistence.  As the tree matures its ability to withstand rain, wind, storm and toxic intruders is unparalleled.  The result of the tree’s patience, endurance and strength produce some of the most beautiful and inspiring forms of life. And though the Great Oak Tree is a beautiful and awe-inspiring lifeform, it is what you cannot see that makes the Great Oak Tree strong.

At Great Oak Counseling, we believe that strength is inherent in all people. Many factors impact a person’s ability to thrive; some of which include childhood, environment and experience. At Great Oak Counseling, our approach is rooted in counseling philosophies that address basic human need for secure relationships, emotional validation and the treatment of traumatic wounds that can stunt and impact growth. This approach acts as a rich, fertile soil, that will provide a nurturing and safe place to allow you to grow and flourish, much in the same way the Great Oak does.

We look forward to growing with you.
