Kim Backfisch, LPC, RPT

Kim Backfisch is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2019 with an Educational Specialist in Counseling. She is also a certified School Counselor.

Kim has experience in working with children, teens, young adults, and couples. Kim utilizes Person Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), to help clients work toward making changes in their lives. Kim uses strategies and techniques from a variety of other counseling theories to meet the needs of clients. She is National Certified Counselor (NCC) and certified Trauma Formed Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and has experience in working with clients that have trauma, grief, depression, anxiety as well as many other struggles.

Kim works to continue her education in the field of childhood trauma and play therapy.

Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and family, camping, fishing, and floating the rivers.
