Matthew Tompkins, PLPC
Matthew Tompkins is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). He graduated from Webster University in 2016 with a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Matt has specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and has training in Object Relations Theory. Using this eclectic model, he explores attachment and how people use early established relationships to relate to the world around them. In this framework, individuals are better able to identify existing patterns and move towards healthier, happier lifestyles. Matt uses a strength-based, client-centered approach with clients as they move toward identified goals.
Matt has clinical experience working with children and adolescents, adults, and military families. Many of the concerns he has addressed are centered on anxiety, depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Reactive-Attachment Disorder.
Beyond his work, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and plays/records music. He is a military Veteran and currently serves in the Army National Guard.
