Morgan Murphy, LPC

Morgan Murphy received her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling in 2020 from Southeast Missouri State University and is a Licensed Counselor (LPC). In her counseling sessions, she uses Existential and Solution Focused Therapy. Morgan also uses techniques from a variety of other counseling theories in order to best meet the needs of her clients. Morgan has experience with children, adolescents, and adults. She has an educational background in play therapy where she focuses on a client-centered approach with children. The areas she works most closely with include but are not limited to: depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma.

Morgan sees the client as the expert in their own life while she is someone to help guide the client and assist them in processing their feelings. She places an emphasis on how the client sees themselves in the world and what meaning their life holds for them. Morgan believes that when a client has an increased awareness of themselves and the responsibility, choices, and freedom they possess, that client can shape their life to suit their needs.

Outside of work, Morgan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and continuing her education in the counseling field.
