Rayme Keenan, LCSW

T. Rayme Keenan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She graduated from social California State University, Sacramento in 2013 and have been working in social services since.

Rayme has worked with The Effort in Sacramento working in case management with a
population of men and women diagnosed with chronic mental illness. In 2015 she was graced with the opportunity to work with Dr. Thad Lake and Dr. Dawn Caruso at Southeast Health both on the psychiatric floor and in the emergency department. She has worked for over 4 years in that environment and the experience was invaluable with regards to understanding mental health and crisis management.

In addition, Rayme has worked with Hope Children's Home serving them in a variety of capacities as well as on the adolescent psychiatric floor at Missouri Delta. The knowledge and experience of all these positions have greatly impacted her transition to her practice at Great Oak Counseling.

Rayme has been trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI). She plans to begin training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to understand how attachment relationships are crucial to optimal well being.

Rayme has served a multitude of populations and welcomes anyone into her office as a new client without judgement. Mental health and holistic health has always been her passion, and trauma is her strong suit.

In her spare time, Rayme loves spending time with family and friends, traveling, and has been blessed with being the current pole vaulting coach at Notre Dame High School. Rayme is also a trained yoga instructor and loves the practice of yoga, mindfulness and meditation.
