Let’s Grow Together.
We believe all people have the capacity to grow, be courageous and endure patiently. Through the challenges we experience comes the capacity to heal and grow stronger.
Austin Eichhorn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Integrated Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Illinois University in 2022.
Austin facilitates a safe, understanding, and non-judgmental space for clients to increase their self-awareness by reflecting collaboratively on past experiences and their impact on the self. By helping clients to understand how their past influences their present, clients are guided in taking leadership within their individual lives and reorient their actions to align with their future goals.
Austin practices an Adlerian therapeutic approach, integrating cognitive behavioral techniques and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) concepts. EMDR is a structured, evidence-based treatment aimed at helping clients recover from trauma and distressing experiences. She is trained in EMDR and in Transgender Affirming Care. When working with couples, she draws from the Gottman Method to help the couple to improve and increase communication, strengthen emotional connection, and establish positive rituals.
Outside of work, Austin enjoys spending time with her partner, family and friends, baking, playing videogames, reading, and watching TV shows.
