Infidelity Counseling
Specializing in infidelity counseling, adultery counseling, and infidelity therapy, Great Oak Counseling is a team of dedicated and highly skilled counselors trained to guide you through a variety of challenges.
The Great Oak is a symbol of courage and power, gaining strength from deep roots that grow and develop through patience and persistence. As a Great Oak tree matures, its ability to withstand rain, wind, storm and other toxic intruders is unparalleled. The tree’s patience, endurance and strength is then able to produce some of the most beautiful and inspiring forms of life. As professional counselors, the philosophy of Great Oak Counseling is consistent with this symbolism of the Great Oak. We believe all people have the capacity to grow, be courageous and endure patiently. Through the challenges we experience, we increase our capacity to heal and grow stronger.
The staff of professional counselors at Great Oak Counseling has a variety of experience and expertise. With years of experience, we are able to help individuals with marriage issues, infidelity counseling, depression, anxiety, pornography addiction, sex addiction, drug addiction and alcohol addiction, anger management and more. Rest assured that at Great Oak Counseling you will receive compassionate and effective care. All of our counselors have advanced training and certification in many specialty areas including marriage counseling, trauma and PTSD, sexual abuse, physical abuse and counseling for teens and children.
LifeSTAR is one of the ways in which our team at Great Oak Counseling works with patients through infidelity counseling. A 3-phase international treatment program, LifeSTAR is aimed at helping couples who have experienced infidelity and other unwanted sexual behaviors and individuals who struggle with pornography addiction or sexual addiction. The phases of treatment are conducive to long-term recovery. Our program at Great Oak Counseling, in specific, utilizes a comprehensive approach to eliminate problematic sexual behaviors, enrich quality of life, and restore relationships. The program provides a structured approach with an emphasis in self-awareness, lifestyle change, emotional healing and healthy interpersonal relationships.
The primary feature of LifeSTAR, which sets it apart from other treatment programs, is the support offered to spouses and partners of addicts who have been traumatized by their partner’s betrayal. A major focus in each of the three phases is providing spouses and partners with educational information and tools needed to help the healing process. Couples are encouraged to attend together, but single adults and those who are coupled or married but would rather come alone are also welcome and encouraged to attend.
