Sierra Elliott-Cotton, PLPC

Counselor

Sierra is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) who brings compassion, curiosity, and creativity to her work with clients. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development from Southeast Missouri State University in 2020 and completed her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2025. She is currently pursuing an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Counseling and is actively working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist.

With experience in both mental health and social work settings, Sierra supports individuals navigating a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, PTSD, and childhood concerns. She takes a person-centered, humanistic approach, creating a safe and supportive space for clients of all ages. Sierra often incorporates creative and experiential techniques to help children and adults express themselves and process emotions in meaningful ways. She believes in meeting clients where they are and empowering them to trust their inner strengths as they move toward healing and growth.

Outside the counseling space, Sierra enjoys spending time with loved ones, planning her next adventure, and getting lost in a good book.
